Welcome to Gower College Swansea! Congratulations on joining one of the biggest colleges in Wales. Now that you’ve joined you are well on your way to living your best life and building the foundations towards a great future.
While here you’ll have the opportunity to join a variety of clubs and take part in extra curricular activities. We have our GCS active programme delivered by our activities leader Josh Jordan – he’ll put on a load of activities (Covid-19 permitting) – dodgeball, five-a-side football, badminton, climbing, yoga, pilates, even a dance session if you ask him nicely!
As a student at the college you are also part of the Gower College Guarantee. This means as long as you adhere to the student code of conduct (excellent attendance and behaviour and successful completion of your course) we can provide you with at least one of these options.
- Study at one of the UK’s top universities
- Start an apprenticeship or a job with a major employer in the region
- Progress onto another course at the College
- Receive employability advice and support to get a job
We also have our futures programme housed in our Gorseinon and Tycoch campuses offer drop in sessions offering employability advice and support to yourselves a student at the college.
They also assist students in finding part time employment whilst undertaking their college studies. Students can access the hubs on a drop-in basis or via referral from a tutor.
