LGBT+ History Month

LGBT+ history month is an annual event month long event that celebrates the history of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, transgender history and the history of gay rights.

Throughout the month of February you will see on screens around the college information on famous LGBTQ+ people throughout the ages as well as some general information on the history of gay rights and challenges in the UK.

You’ll notice that we celebrate the whole spectrum of the LGBTQ+ umbrella and hopefully you will be able to learn a little more about these different identities and experiences throughout this month.  To start of the month we would welcome anyone to head to the Stonewall website for more detailed information on LGBTQ+ identities, there is an interesting article on the history of the word bisexuality which can be accessed here
