Rainbow Week

As part of our ongoing commitment to LGBTQ+ rights we are hosting a Rainbow week commencing 4th April.

Both the staff and student planners will have more information on what is availability throughout the week and I encourage as many of you as possible to get involved.

To kick off the week we have guest Speaker Kelley Malone, (formerly Frank Malone) boxing promoter and television speaker who will be speaking about their experience as trans woman in the public limelight. Kelley’s hard hitting talk deals with some of the biggest hardships she has faced throughout her life and career, battling with mental health as a result of hiding her true identity. Be sure to book on to the in person event, but we will also be live streaming across the colleges for those who cannot attend.

If you check the planner you will also be able to watch Chad Cloette’s talk about being a black gay man in Wales, a very interesting and informative watch.

Be sure to try and attend what will be an interesting and enlightening talk and once again I cannot recommend enough trying to involve with yourselves with some of the many activities that will be held this week.
