Kenya Trip 2024 – Student Application

The College is organising an international trip to take students to Kenya in June/July 2024, in support of the College Charity, Kenya Community Education, who’s aim is to raise funds for Madungu Primary School.

This year is the 20th Anniversary of the Charity and the College has secured partial funding to take 10 students to visit Madungu. Planned activities at the school will include teaching, mentoring and possibly some maintenance / construction work and students with an interest or expertise in these areas are encouraged to apply.

We are particularly keen to document the visit on social media (including blogging), so students with an interest in media, filming, photography and marketing are also encouraged, as are those with an interest in working internationally or with an NGO. The group will also enjoy a social programme including a number of safaris / animal encounters.

All successful applicants will be expected to contribute to the fundraising activities for the charity.

If you are interested in participating in this mobility, please complete the attached EOI in support of your application. Whilst the College has funding to help with the costs of the mobilities, students will be expected to pay a contribution of up to £500 each. Students in receipt of EMA or other benefits can apply to receive additional financial support.
