Planet Earth Games 23/24

We are proud to say that Gower College Swansea has entered for the 2023/24 Planet Earth Games event – the UK’s largest sustainability competition for further education. By taking part, we can show our commitment to:

• Climate action
• Active wellbeing
• Connecting to nature
• Developing Green Leadership.

Last year resulted in 17,896 sustainable actions across the UK from activities and events organised by learners on campuses and in their communities. Keighley College in West Yorkshire were crowned overall winners and collected the bamboo trophy.

This can be done at point of registering by selecting yes to ‘have you got a team code’ or once registered select ‘Join a Team’ and enter the code there.

Any student or staff member who take part in existing or College led challenges (keep your eyes peeled for these in January) will need to upload photos/video to gain points. Individual scores will then be available on individuals portals and the overall College score will be tracked.

The college with the most points by Earth Day on 22 April 2024 will be crowned winners.

The more pro-active we are in organising these activities and the more learners and staff take part, the better we will do! So, sign-up and look out for further information on campus and online to get fully involved in the 2023/24 Planet Earth Games.
