Research Project for Welsh – £15 Voucher

Hello! Did you take GCSE Welsh Second Language this summer? Or know someone who did?

Come have a chat with us and help us develop the teaching of Welsh in Wales.

The National Centre for Learning Welsh are looking for young people who have just finished GCSE to take part in a small and friendly research project this autumn. You don’t have to feel confident in Welsh, and you don’t have to speak perfectly. It doesn’t matter what grade you got either. We can offer you a £15 gift voucher for high street shops as a small thank you for taking part.

The 1-to-1 chat would be very simple and friendly and online. We will ask you to answer a few simple questions in Welsh, a little bit like you prepared for your GCSE Welsh. The chat would be recorded on Microsoft Teams and would last no more than about 15 minutes. This will help us get an idea of where you’re at on your journey to learning Welsh and will be used to develop new courses for people like you.

We’re looking for young people who:

  • have just sat GCSE Welsh Second Language this summer
  • don’t speak Welsh at home
  • haven’t had any education through the medium of Welsh

If you’d like to take part, or to find out more, let your lecturer/teacher know, or you can email Elen at elen.robert@dysgucymraeg.cymru
