Women’s Netball Academy

The Netball Academy gives the opportunity to train and play in a high-performance environment both nationally and domestically, alongside academic studies in an array of courses.  

Our teams complete at the highest level within the AOC (Association of Colleges) leagues, including the Premier league where they face the best netball colleges in the whole of the UK, and also the Wales league, achieving multiple wins in both leagues. Within the leagues we are in, we engage in fierce battles against other teams of the league, and our effort and game play is resounding. This academy is led by coaches with an array of experiences in the sport, including the head coach being a coach at international level. 

Our learners and players benefit from a high-quality netball plan, with a player focused development pathway covering all aspects of the game, including strength and conditioning with qualified personal trainers, performance analysis sessions and individual reviews.  

The college regularly represent Wales in the AOC Championships, with learners gaining national and international honours across several Wales Netball pathways. Here at Gower College Swansea, our Netball achievements are unmatchable, everything we do is specific and individualised to benefit those at the heart of our Netball Academy. Our players immerse themselves harmoniously into sporting excellence, they appreciate the game, and we appreciate them. We play this game with pride and integrity.
