Kenya Project Blog Post 4

,

There’s now only 5 days to go before Saturday morning’s Walrus Dip in Caswell Bay which is seeking to raise funds to help hundreds of primary school children in Kenya receive a better education and, as a result, and as we all know better opportunities in life – and of course builds on our 20 year track record which is remarkable for a College such as ours.

Sign-ups to date are relatively low and so please if you can let us know that you are intending to join us that would be much appreciated – as we can then use this as a check against your medical records which you have previously shared with us to ensure that the swim is safe for everyone taking part.

Sponsorship is progressing well but again could do with some help and therefore if you are able to share the details or the QR code with friends and family that would be greatly appreciated.  Activities such as these are generally more successful when everyone participates – no matter how small a contribution.

And for those students who have submitted an application to take part in next summer’s visit to Kenya, the announcement of the names of the 10 students will be made early in January and so, in the meantime, any help that you can give with either the swim or sponsorship would be particularly appreciated – more so because next summer you may well get the opportunity to see the impact of our work.
